Longroom stands as one of Auckland’s premier event venues and the largest venue for hire along Ponsonby Road!

Our versatile spaces cater to a wide range of intimate or grand gatherings. Spanning from business meetings, corporate events, and festive Christmas parties to lively hens and stag celebrations, birthday bashes, elegant engagements, wakes, and every special occasion in between.

We accommodate events throughout the day, starting from 7 am until the early hours of the morning.

SunDeck

  • Our Sun Deck is a great trans-seasonal outdoor space that basks in the sun and is protected from the elements in the cooler/wet months of the year.

    Fantastic for hosting long lunches and corporate and cocktail-style events.

    • Cocktail (drinks & canapes) style party for up to 50 people

    • Banquet lunch/dinner for up to 30 people

    • Meetings for up to 30 people

Short room

  • The Short Room is your go-to for an exclusive and private experience.

    Indulge in delightful dining, savour drinks, and dance the night away. This fantastic space comes complete with its own bar (a bartender if required), an outdoor covered balcony, and a top-notch sound system to keep the party alive.

    Hire includes our AV system (42” TV with several input options, independent speaker system & wireless microphone). Keep in mind that these extras need to be arranged at least two days before your event.

    • Boardroom breakfast/working lunches & boardroom meetings for up to 20 people

    • Theatre-style seating for up to 30 people

    • Cocktail (drinks & canapes) style event for up to 80 people

    • Banquet lunch/dinner for up to 30 people

restaurant and sundeck

  • The Back Restaurant area provides a naturally lit, neutral environment away from the hustle & bustle of Ponsonby Rd.

    Available seven days a week, our Back Restaurant is perfect for morning and daytime meetings, functions, and events. The space also transforms into a vibrant setting for evening gatherings from Wednesday – Saturday, suitable for both corporate and private bookings.

    • Cocktail (drinks & canapes) style party for up to 70 people

    • Banquet lunch/dinner up to 45 people

    • Breakfast meetings/presentations for up to 20 people

back restaurant

  • Merging the two areas results in a fantastic space featuring seamless indoor-outdoor flow.

    Perfect for morning and daytime events any day of the week and/or evenings from Wednesday to Saturday—suitable for both business and private bookings.

    • Cocktail (drinks & canapes) style party for up to 120 people.

    • Banquet lunch/dinner up to 60 people

    • ‘Grazing’ style tables for larger events priced from $1500

Full venue

  • Longroom, as an entire venue, is available for hire to cater for large corporate and private events of up to 450 people.

    The team at Longroom will work with you every step of the way to ensure your event exceeds all expectations.

    • An application for the event would be reviewed by management

    • Pricing, terms & conditions would be specific to the event and signed off by both parties

    • Group bookings and large group deposits start at $500

    • Minimum spend requirements may be requested, our minimum spend includes anything the host provides and anything else the guests pay for.

Large Full Venue Bookings and End of Year (November & December) bookings may undertake additional room hire, deposit & minimum spend requirements to offset high demand and additional resources needed (Contract Staff, Kitchen Equipment, Bar Essentials and Glassware, DJs etc)

  • Please note the minimum spend requirement is generally not a guaranteed spend, however under certain circumstances (reduced/insufficient numbers of guests) we may ask you to make up the remaining, or a portion of the remaining shortfall of minimum spend requirements.

  • Pricing—Deposit and minimum spend requirements for selected areas are specific to the event and the number of guests attending.
